Watercolor at Inspire me Thursday


This week at IMT the challenge was watercolor. The dolls are sitting on a shelf in our bedroom. I painted them digital with the great Art Rage. There's a free version you can download at the Ambient Design website. Then I used the Virtual Painter for the watercolor effect. I bought the dolls years ago when I worked in a toyshop.

  1. Oh! This is lovely! I love the colours, and how you have managed to give the dolls kind of a facial expression, even if they *are* bland. If that makes sense :) To me, those dolls look sad. And no wonder, when you read the words...

    Thanks for the tip about ArtRage, I will most likely try it out.

  12. Oohhh wat geweldig mooi Julia, ik vind het schitterend!! Dat dit allemaal kan op je PC is toch ongelofelijk. Het lijkt een echte aquarel hoor, en dan ook nog helemaal in mijn smaak. Ik ben er helemaal stil van...

  27. He Julia ! Terug van vakantie en weer zoveel te lezen op je blog. Prachtige dingen weer te zien, maar dit springt er echt uit. Is er ook iets wat je niet kunt ??? Ik heb ArtRage ook, maar zo te zien moet ik daar nog wat meer mee experimenteren ;-) Want zoiets heb ik nog niet voor elkaar gekregen. Prachtig hoor !!!
